Did you know that over 3 millions of “Sinusitis” also known as “Sinus infection ” cases occur every year??
When your sinuses function properly, entering bacteria get trapped and are filtered out by your mucus and nasal hairs called “Cilia” (* cilium =plural)
If something obstruct the cilium like maybe a cold that causes the clogging of your sinuses opening or an allergen swells the sinuses’ lining_ the air get trapped, pressure builds, the mucus become stagnant and bacteria or other organism can breed and grow.
Here how you can clear it out and breathe better.
• APPLYING PRESSURE/ Massaging: Rubbing your sore sinuses brings fresh blood supply to the area in need of soothing relief by putting your thumbs firmly on both side of your nose and hold for 15 to 30 seconds; then repeat.
• HOT COMPRESS: Apply moist hot towel to tender area around nose, eyes and forehead. That will increase blood flow and decrease obstructing inflammation
• A Foot Bath:
Fill a basin with hot water, make sure to not burn yourself, add a cup of Epsom Salt along with a few drops of Rosemary, Melaleuca (tea tree oil) and Eucalyptus essential oils. “
